Preliminary Task: Task 4 - Audience Research

My primary audience for my Billboard magazine will be both genders within the age of 13 to 20. This is a wide audience age group due to Billboard being a miscellany of songs and genres. Although class is very much talked about nowadays I know there is not a huge worry for Billboard and especially for the age range it appeals to. My secondary audience will be both genders again but the age range will be of an older age. This age will be 25 to 35, the reason for this is due to the fact billboards songs are meant to be general and appeal to a majority of people. In addition to this the class and social grade won't matter as I don't want to be biased and specific to the people I will aim it at. My Survey Monkey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/8JVSCRB

AS G321: Print Brief

Preliminary exercise : produce the front page of a new school/college magazine, featuring a photograph of a student in medium close-up plus some appropriately laid-out text and a masthead. Additionaly candidates must produce a mock-up of the layout of the contents page to demonstrate their grasp of the program.

Main task: the front page, contents page and double page spread of a new music magazine.

I have chose to do a Billboard type music magazine, I have picked this genre I'm tend to listen to the top charts and more modern songs that come out. In addition to liking the songs I have seen many books and magazines that relate to the genre. For these reasons I believe I could produce a magazine to the same quality and style to the ones I have scene.

I will use the preliminary  task and the mock up layouts to allow me to complete the main task to a better standard. Furthermore I can use my Photoshop skills from photography to make the magazine look more realistic.
