Looking at Propp's theory, our film subverts what he states in the theory as it is a standard theory and is based upon general narratives.
Character types:
Hero – seeks something
Villain – opposes the hero
Donor – helps the hero, often by providing a magical object
Dispatcher – sends the hero on his way
False hero – falsely assumes the role of the hero
Helper – gives support or help to the hero
Princess – the reward for the hero
Princess’ father

As seen here we don't have eight characters in our film that match the description of these characters that are stated by Propp. I believe that such character styles would be scene in feature films or ones that follow a more fantasy driven narrative. For example when looking at movies today their are many feature length films that carry the role of these characters, due to the fact their length of film can accommodate it.
In a sense, despite all of this their could be the argument that such characters like the Villain could come over as an object or substance in the film. For example drug taking and cocaine, which both feature in our film, are illegal and take over the Protagonist and his family. Leading to the breakup of everyone. This could therefor be taken as the villain as it is opposing people and going against people.
